There are many great events taking place over the next week but perhaps even more exciting is that we just released our first product! Our goal has always been to encourage Canadians to explore more of their own backyard, so we’ve created Must Do Adventure Scratch-Off cards, featuring 50 iconic experiences and hidden gems in each province and territory across Canada.   • Stephen Fearing & the Sentimentals with Mia Kelly (March 22) Join us for a night of incredible music at River Park Church! The Sentimentals will be taking the stage alongside Stephen Fearing. Danish Americana/folk music pioneers, The Sentimentals have toured North America and Europe backing Canadian, American, Danish and Swedish artists since 2004 and the Sentimentals will be taking the stage, with the talented Mia Kelly opening the show.

  • Real McKenzies & Dreadnoughts w/ Territories and Class Action (March 22) For the first time, Dickens is proud to present one night with both The Real McKenzies AND The Dreadnoughts. 

  • Aurora Borealis and Exoplanet Search: Canadian Research Innovators March Space Night (March 22) Our very active star has blasted out solar winds with immense power over the past year. The result is incredible displays of Aurora Borealis filling the skies as far south as Calgary. The University of Calgary Auroral Imaging Group is a world-leading research studying large-scale physics phenomena. Dr. Emma Spanswick will share her research on the interactions between the sun and the earth through these dazzling displays of light, colour and motion. 

  • Earth Hour Calgary (March 22) The City of Calgary is joining other governments, organizations and citizens around the world in shutting off the lights for Earth Hour from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

  • Film Screening: Solaris at Contemporary Calgary (March 23)  This screening is programmed in conjunction with Rajni Perera and Marigold

  • Santos: Efflorescence / The Way We Wake, on view at Contemporary Calgary until April 6, 2025.

  • Calgary Flames Vs. Seattle Kraken (March 25) Professional ice hockey game at Scotiabank Saddledome.  

  • Calgary Tower 802 Challenge (March 25) Calling all fitness enthusiasts, the 802 Challenge is back for 2025! We will open our legendary stairwell each Tuesday in March from 4-7 pm. Come for a leisurely climb or test your mettle with multiple laps. Come for the climb, stay for the view. 

  • Dinner and a Movie – Footloose - Heritage Park (March 25) Warm up this March with dinner and a movie at Heritage Park! Start your evening with a gourmet three-course meal in the iconic Gasoline Alley Museum, surrounded by vintage vehicles. Then, settle in for a screening of the iconic film Footloose.
