• MATERIAL WORLDS - Ghost River Theatre (Feb 20 - 23) Join us for an immersive journey into the world of object puppetry, where imagination meets innovation. Open to adventurous artists from all disciplines, this dynamic intensive will introduce participants to new ways of interacting with and animating objects to create compelling, symbolic, and poetic theatre. Through hands-on exercises and collaborative experimentation, you'll explore how objects can drive storytelling, performance, and design.

• Calgary Boat & Outdoors Show (Feb 21 - 23) Save the date! This February, the Calgary Boat and Outdoors Show will once again transform the BMO Centre into an unrivalled marketplace for hunting, fishing, and thrilling outdoor adventures. 

• Spruce Meadows February Classic (Feb 21 - 23) Welcome to the Winter Series at Spruce Meadows, one of the indoor equestrian events of the year. Held in the Equi-Plex, the Winter Series offers spectators a unique opportunity to exciting equestrian action in a comfortable indoor setting. 

• Snow Rodeo at Winsport (Feb 21 - 22) The Snow Rodeo is back; bringing the double header action to Winsport Calgary Olympic Park with a FIS Halfpipe World Cup on Friday, February 21st and the FIS Slopestyle World Cup on Saturday, February 22nd! • Mythology Space Night at Rothney Observatory (Feb 22) Space Night will feature access to an array of telescopes operated by University of Calgary astronomers and members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada – Calgary Centre. You will have the opportunity to look through the telescopes and astronomers will be on hand to answer questions.

• The Barn Market (Feb 23) The Barn Artisan Market was established in January 2020 (originally as the Whole Earth Market) and focuses on local vendors with handcrafted, created, and made-in-Alberta products. We also host two Friday night markets during the summer. We have two floors, featuring 34 vendors! Admission is always free for visitors, and there's free parking as well! What you'll find here is a fun, inviting community of artisans, creators, crafters, makers and more! 

• Hillhurst Flea & Antique Markets (Feb 23) The HSCA Flea Market has been a community program since 1985! It runs year-round and admission is FREE. Bring the family to browse, connect, or grab some lunch or breakfast at the concession (Queen Latina’s serves up delicious food every Sunday). The Flea Market has over 100 vendors, featuring crafts, furniture, antiques, books, household items, and more!

• Paws for a Cause: Puppy Yoga (Feb 23) Join humankind and YYC Run Crew for a mental health chat, intentional connections and did we mention... puppy yoga? *As long as The Humane Society has some furry friends in the facility, they will be joining you on your mat! If not puppies - we will be sure to bring out some other furry pals! 

• Get crafty @Pizzaface (Feb 23) Join us at Pizzaface for a craft! We'll be painting candles, and $10 gets you two candles. If you want to make additional candles, they'll be $3.50 each for purchase at the event. 

• Kim-Sanh Châu & Bleu Neon (Feb 24 - 25) Kim-Sanh Châu is a dance and video artist. Her practice comprises choreographic installation and video making – with an interest for the emergence of imaginary landscapes through the body – distilled from far-away dreams, imaginary memories and psychotropic reminiscences. 

• King James At Alberta Theatre Projects KICKS OFF (Feb 25 - March 16) “King” LeBron James’ reign in Cleveland brings promise, prosperity and renewal to a city in desperate need of all three. It’s 1932 in Niagara Falls, Canada, where the rum-running business is at its peak.
