Hygge Hut on River Walk in East Village (Various Days until March) The Hygge Hut is a big warm East Village hug in the middle of a long, cold Calgary winter. The contemporary, Scandinavian-style space is inspired by the Danish idea of Hygge, which means a special kind of well-being. It’s a cozy, easy togetherness enhanced by the glow of a firepit, soft lighting, a warm drink and good company.

A Plus Pizza: This new Italian restaurant is known to serve up mouth-watering pizza along with a variety of sides, such as ravioli, salad, and wings.
Delmonico: Another new restaurant in Calgary, Delmonico brings Western-fusion cuisine to the city, including pancakes, bennies, and omelettes for breakfast, and things like cauliflower fritters, crispy baby scallops, melon salad with feta, burgers and brisket for later in the day.
